1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of My Handyman Essex services. By booking a service with us, you agree to these terms.

2. Quotes and Pricing

  • All quotes are free and provided without obligation
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue
  • Final prices are agreed before work commences
  • Any variations to the agreed scope of work may affect the final price
  • VAT is not charged (we are not VAT registered)

3. Bookings

  • Bookings are confirmed once we have agreed a date and price in writing or by phone
  • We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a booking
  • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may incur a call-out fee

4. Payment

  • Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed
  • We accept cash, bank transfer and major credit/debit cards
  • Invoices for larger jobs may require a deposit

5. Our Work

  • We carry out all work to a professional standard
  • We are fully insured with public liability insurance up to Β£2 million
  • Any concerns about completed work must be raised within 7 days
  • We will return to rectify any genuine defects in our workmanship free of charge

6. Your Responsibilities

  • You must ensure safe and reasonable access to the property
  • You are responsible for clearing the work area before our arrival where possible
  • You must inform us of any known hazards at the property

7. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
